OPEN REGISTRATIONS FOR THE CURSA DELS NASSOS 2024
The Cursa dels Nassos, organized by Barcelona City Council, has opened the registration period through its website www.cursadenassos.barcelona In the last four editions, this test sold out numbers, close to 11.000 in the last edition and, for this reason, more are being offered this year, reaching up to 11.500.
People registered during the month of July or August will enter the draw for different gifts that will be announced on the social networks of the race.
The best women's world race of 2023
World Athletics, the highest body in this sport, in its annual ranking of the best races in the world by organization and brands, placed the 2023 Race of the Noses as the first ranked worldwide route in the women's category.
As is tradition, the Cursa dels Nassos 2024 will be contested on December 31 with the fast 10 kilometre route marked every 500 meters and with 29 hares. Before the pandemic, it was the European 10km race with the most participants finishing under 40 minutes, exceeding 1.100.
In the last 4 editions a 5 kilometre race was organized for international athletes, and where in 2021 the men's world records were made by Berihu Aregawi with 12'49”, still in force, and women's with Taye Haylu with 14'19".
In 2023, the women's world record was set with Beatrice Chebet 14'12", and the male European record with 13'12" by Dominic Lobalu, both in force.
