Information for elite athletes
The Race is of an international nature, popular athletes will NOT be able to participate. To participate you need an invitation from the organization or have a better time in the last two years.
Men: under 14'00 at 5 km. or 28.30 at 10 km.
Women: under 16:30 at 5 km. or 33.30 at 10 km.

- Exit: Avinguda Icària, between C/Arquitecte Sert and c. Rosa Sensat In front of the CEM Nova Icària gym.
- Arrival: C/ Selva de Mar, in front of Plaça Ramon Calsina, same place where the start and finish of the 10 km will be.

Race start time:
4:20 p.m. Female and Male Category. Approved, part of the WA international calendar.

The use of the timing chip is mandatory and you will receive it together with your number. Bibs will be handed out at the Novaicaria gym, right next to the start line from 3:00 p.m. until 3:50 p.m.

After the race, the 5 km participants will be able to enjoy the departure of the popular 10 km race with 12.000 inscriptions at 17:15h which leaves from the finish point of the 5 km.

At the finish line we will have Catalan record, National record, European record and World record posters for participants.

The route is completely flat, with only 6 curves. The start and finish line are at different points, which are properly signposted and the race is marked every 500 meters. In this same course, 3 world records have been set, that of Berihu Aregawi with 12'49 and Hayle Taye with 14'19 in 2021, and Beatrice Chebet in 2023 with 14'12. The European record is also in our race with 13'12 by Dominique Lobalu in 2023.

It is recommended to start easy and finish strong.

Premiation will be awarded to the first 3 men and first 3 women right at the finish line, under the finish arch at 4:45 p.m.


There will be hares from the organization at different paces, toilets at the CEM Nova Icària gym, and a cloakroom (you will leave your rucksack in a van at the start and we will take it to the finish line, where you will collect it).

The start and finish lines are 2 km apart in a straight line!
